In addition to the CCK money module that I mentioned earlier, the Currency CCK module also uses the Currency API that 2bits authored.
In addition to the CCK money module that I mentioned earlier, the Currency CCK module also uses the Currency API that 2bits authored.
Catching up on some really late RSS feeds, I found that there is now a CCK Money field.
The interesting thing is that this module uses the Currency API that we wrote a long time ago. This module started as a port of some custom PHP scripts we used with an in-house rudimentary CMS, and was Drupalized later and turned into a module.
Good to see code reuse in that way.
The fine folks at Open Craft, an Egyptian open source software development and consulting firm have invited Khalid to give a seminar on Drupal.
I will be in Cairo on August 25, 2007 for a presentation on Drupal scalability as well as userpoints.

Scott Hadfield has posted screen shots for the load test project. Load test is build on top of Drupal's simple test suite.
This shows how load tests can be automated by having various states, each with a defined set of modules.
States can be swtiched remotely too, which is very useful when running the test in conjunction with a laod test tool, such as Apache Benchmark (ab).
This tool should prove helpful in things like benchmarking various configurations and patches.
This is a new module that is of interest to developers, Reroute email.
What it does is that it intercepts all emails send from a Drupal site and reroutes them to an email address that the site admin defines.

Earlier this year, we released userpoints 2.x API, and it was very well received. There are now many contrib modules for userpoints available for download.

It is among the webware 100, with Wordpress and Typepad, in the publishing category.
Drupal is a powerful publishing and content management system. Users can add all sorts of content to Web pages through a system of modules. The software itself is free and open-source; users need simply pick out which site elements they want, and then put them together.
JupiterMedia has acquired Adsoftheworld.com and CreativeBits.org.
The sites were founded by Ivan Raszl.
Both sites run Drupal, of course.
MediaME has an interview with Ivan Raszl, founder of AdsOfTheWorld, a Drupal site that gets very high traffic.
To quote:
In less than 2 years Ads of the World reached 800+ thousands unique visitors and 15 million page loads a month. And these numbers are growing 10-15% every month.
